Privacy policy
This notice explains how Edgbaston Ear Clinic handles personal information when you contact the clinic or use this website.
Last updated: July 2026.
Who we are
Edgbaston Ear Clinic, 49 Calthorpe Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 1TH. You can contact us at info@edgbastonearclinic.com or 0121 667 4119.
Information we may collect
This may include your name, contact details, appointment preferences, correspondence, payment and appointment records, and information needed to provide safe clinical care. The public appointment-request form asks only for limited administrative details and is not intended for detailed medical information.
Why we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, arrange and provide services, maintain appropriate clinical and business records, process payments, meet legal or professional obligations, protect patients and the clinic, and send marketing only where there is a valid basis and appropriate choice.
Sharing information
Information may be shared with trusted service providers, payment or booking providers, healthcare professionals, referrers, regulators or authorities where necessary and lawful. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
Information is retained only for as long as needed for the relevant purpose and applicable clinical, legal, insurance or regulatory requirements. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect it.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to use of your information, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact the clinic first if you have a privacy question or request.
Website forms
Online ear-wax bookings are processed through the clinic’s booking provider. Clinician callback requests are stored securely in the WordPress administration area so the clinic can manage the request, record whether contact has been made and arrange an appointment. Callback details should be deleted when they are no longer required. Email, booking and hosting providers may also process information as part of delivering these services.
Marketing
The appointment form does not currently subscribe people to marketing. Any future marketing list will use a separate choice and provide an unsubscribe method.
